Gregory Haney, Owner
Doctor of Physical Therapy
My name is Gregory Haney but my staff and patients call me Greg. I grew up in Ludlow, MA and have always loved Physical Therapy. I was able to watch multiple family members do PT at a young age and saw that PT allowed them to return to work and sports without pain or limitation. By the end of high school, I had already completed multiple job shadowing opportunities in the field. I was ready to start helping as soon as possible. I chose Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT to do my undergraduate work and got the opportunity to work in multiple PT settings at St. Vincent Hospital. At Sacred Heart, I played two sports, ice hockey and rugby. I won awards for volunteering in the community and was able to meet my wife Shannon in the process. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science in 2005. In 2005, I found that Franklin Pierce University was the best fit based on their incredible faculty. This move gave me the opportunity to study under the great professors Josh Cleland and Shirley Stockmeyer. Both are world renowned in their areas of study and were always available for questions. Following graduation 2008, I worked in the Boston area. I then worked in the North Shore of Massachusetts prior to moving to the Putnam area. I now live in Pomfret with my wife and two children. I am so grateful to work in the profession that I do and truly enjoy coming to work each day. I like all the local sports teams, especially the Patriots and Red Sox.
Sidney Gedman
Office Manager
My name is Sidney Gedman and I was born and raised in Putnam, CT. I am the youngest of three girls. I went to elementary school in Putnam and began homeschooling in 8th grade. I attended Liberty University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am currently pursuing my second Masters degree for School Counseling. I have been working with Greg since April of 2018. When I am not working, I love to run and spend time with my husband, Zachary, and our dog, Oswald (or as we call him Ozzywaldo)! I also love food and any type of dessert!
Amanda Groh
Physical Therapy Aide
My name is Amanda Groh. I live in Woodstock, CT with my husband, three children, and my dog. I started working alongside Greg in 2014 and have enjoyed every moment. I love getting to know new patients, some of which have become friends. When I’m not working at the clinic, I dabble in many different things to occupy my time. I am an office assistant at my daughter’s dance & fitness studio, and I am a caretaker for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. I am currently working towards finishing my Bachelor’s degree in child and adolescent development. In my free time I like to visit my favorite place on earth, Disney, and spend time with my family.
Jay Azar
Physical Therapy Aide
My name is Jay Azar and I grew up in Woodstock, Ct. I’ve lived in Buffalo, NY and Redbank, NJ. I met Greg while working in the Thompson School system. I now live in Killingly with my dog Bronx. I enjoy sports. I watch sports, play sports, and have coached for 10 years. At PT I love meeting and helping people.
Vasileios Politis
Physical Therapy Assistant
My name is Vasileios Politis, but my friends and family call me V. I grew up in Killingly, CT and have always had a passion for sports. Physical Therapy captured my interest when I had my own experience as a patient at 16 years old. I had a love/hate relationship with Physical Therapy and have lived through the great parts of it and all of the not so great parts of it. I feel as though this offers me a different perspective that will help me relate to patients and optimize their own experiences. Physical Therapy helped me return back to my passion, football, and helped me win the 2017 State Championship with the only undefeated record in CT that year. Following this, I pursued my Physical Therapist Assistant degree at New England Institute of Technology where I graduated in the Fall of 2020 with honors.
I am currently enrolled in a BS program and look forward to continuing my education further. My free time is spent either with my girlfriend, working at my father’s restaurant Sherwood’s Restaurant and Bar (come check us out!), or coaching football for Killingly High School or the Green Valley Blackhawks Semiprofessional team. Working in this field has already been very rewarding, especially working under Greg who has become an excellent teacher and role model. It is a pleasure waking up in the morning and coming to our clinic to see all of our patients.
Jennifer Wasko
Billing
My name is Jennifer Wasko and I grew up in Manchester, CT. I went to high school at Coventry, CT and lived a short time in California and Georgia. I have experience with medical billing and have worked as an oncology biller for years. I love spending time with my 12 year old son and doing whatever he finds amusing that week. I currently live in Woodstock and have a small farm. I enjoy camping in the mountains and going to Disney World!
